I was born in Thessaloniki, one of the oldest cities in Europe and home to the Thessalonians who are mostly known for the letters written to them. In a deconstructionist mode, why not getting to know some of us for the letters we write to others. We all learn from the places we are born and raised and I learned to take the long term view in life surrounded by Neolithic, Ancient, Roman, Christian, Byzantine, Jewish, Muslim, Balkan, Western and Eastern traditions. I also learned to recognize what we share and what brings us together (and you and I may want to argue if these are the same things that keep us apart as well).
